Introduction

Welcome to Dawamy ("the App"), a shift worker schedule calendar and alarms application developed by Hussein Al-Hashimi (K64bit). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use the App.

By using Dawamy, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms outlined in this policy, please do not use the application.

Information Collection and Use

Dawamy is designed with a strict "privacy-first" philosophy. The App is built to operate locally on your device without requiring an account, registration, or transmission of your personal work schedules.

Local & Offline Schedule Storage

Dawamy operates completely offline for your shift schedule management. All work schedule configurations, custom rotation patterns, shift details, alarm settings, notes, and preferences you log in the App are stored directly and exclusively on your mobile device. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not collect, view, transmit, or store your personal calendar data on any external servers or databases.

Permissions Requested

To provide schedule tracking, alarms, and optional features, the App may request specific system permissions:

  • Precise Alarms & Reminders: On Android devices, the App requests permissions to configure alarms. This is strictly used to trigger local sound and vibration notifications at the exact times specified before your work shifts.
  • Background Processing / Wake Lock: Required to ensure alarm notifications are delivered reliably even when the device is idle or the App is closed.
  • Internet Access: Required strictly to load advertisements via Google AdMob and to fetch real-time meteorological forecasts from the Open-Meteo API (only if you choose to enable the shift weather feature). The App never transmits your schedules, calendar entries, or personal shift notes over the internet.
  • Location (Optional - Weather Forecasts): Requested only if you choose to enable the shift weather forecast feature. Your approximate or precise location coordinates are sent securely to the Open-Meteo weather API solely to display real-time temperatures and conditions for your upcoming shifts. Location coordinates are never saved on our servers, never tracked in the background, and never linked to your identity or personal information.

Third-Party Services

We may utilize third-party service providers to facilitate app operations, analytics, and advertising. These providers have access to pseudonymous device or telemetry data only to perform specific tasks on our behalf:

  • Distribution Platforms (Apple App Store & Google Play Services):The App is distributed through Apple's App Store and Google Play Store. These platforms may collect anonymous crash diagnostics, performance metrics, and device identifiers under Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.
  • Google AdMob (Mobile Advertising):Dawamy may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA where authorized, or anonymous device identifiers) and interaction data to serve non-personalized or personalized ads in accordance with platform policies and Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Open-Meteo API:Provides real-time meteorological forecasts based on the user's selected city or coordinates without retaining any personal identifying information.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because Dawamy operates locally and offline for all schedule data, you maintain complete ownership and control over your information at all times:

  • All shift schedules, custom rotation patterns, settings, and daily notes are saved strictly in your device's local storage.
  • You can clear your logs and history at any time using the "Clean History Logs" feature in the App settings, or delete all data permanently by uninstalling the application from your device.

Security

We value your trust in using Dawamy. Because your work schedules, shift plans, and personal notes are kept entirely on your device, your data is never stored on external databases or exposed to cloud data breaches. Any network requests made by third-party SDKs (such as fetching weather forecasts via Open-Meteo or serving ads via Google AdMob) are conducted strictly over encrypted HTTPS connections.

In accordance with applicable data protection laws and Apple Developer Program License Agreement obligations (Section 3.3.3(C)), in the event of any security incident or data breach compromising user data, we will take prompt remedial action and notify affected users in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Children's Privacy

Dawamy is designed for shift workers and professionals. The App is not structured to attract anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any modifications by posting the updated Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
