Welcome to Dawamy ("the App"), a shift worker schedule calendar and alarms application developed by Hussein Al-Hashimi (K64bit). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use the App on Huawei AppGallery.

By using Dawamy, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms outlined in this policy, please do not use the application.

Information Collection and Use

Dawamy is designed with a "privacy-first" philosophy. The primary features of the App are designed to work without requiring you to share any personal information.

1. Local Schedule & Calendar Data

All work schedule configurations, custom rotation patterns, shift details, settings, and daily notes you log in the App are stored directly on your mobile device. We do not access, view, or store this local data on our servers.

2. Team Synchronization (Supabase Sync)

Dawamy offers an optional real-time team synchronization feature. When you generate a "Join Code" to share your schedule or link with colleagues:

  • Your schedule rotation formulas, anchor dates, and calendar events are uploaded to a secure database hosted by Supabase.
  • No personal identifiers (such as your real name, email, or telephone number) are required to use this service. The sync system relies on randomly generated codes.
  • Any custom names or notes you write on shared calendars will be transmitted to other users who possess your specific Join Code. We advise against writing sensitive personal information in shared calendars.

Permissions Requested

To provide schedule tracking and alarm services, the App requires specific system permissions:

  • Precise Alarms & Reminders: On Huawei/Android devices, the App requests permissions to configure alarms. This is strictly used to trigger local sound and vibration notifications at the exact times specified before your work shifts.
  • Internet Access: Required to establish a connection with the Supabase database to fetch or send synchronized team calendars (only if you choose to use the sync features).
  • Background Processing / Wake Lock: Required to ensure alarm notifications are delivered reliably even when the device is idle or the App is closed.

Third-Party Services

We may utilize third-party service providers to facilitate app operations, analytics, and hosting. These providers have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf:

  • Supabase: Provides secure cloud database infrastructure for calendar synchronization. Their privacy policy can be viewed on their official website.
  • Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) & AppGallery Services: The App is distributed via the Huawei AppGallery, which may collect basic usage metrics, device information, and crash reports. These are governed by Huawei's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention and Deletion

You maintain full control over your data:

  • Local calendars, logs, and notes can be cleared entirely using the "Clean History Logs" feature in the App settings, or by uninstalling the application.
  • Schedules synced to the cloud via Join Codes are retained on our Supabase instances. If you wish to delete synced schedules, you can clear them from within the App or contact us.

Security

We value your trust in using Dawamy, and we strive to protect your data. All communication between the App and the Supabase database is conducted via encrypted HTTPS connections. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Dawamy is designed for shift workers and professionals. The App is not structured to attract anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any modifications by posting the updated Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
