Dawana is designed as an offline-first medication helper and reminder application. Most of your data is processed and stored locally on your device.

We do not require you to register an account or provide personal identifying information (such as your name, phone number, or physical address) to use the core features of the App. Any data you enter, such as medication names, schedules, dosages, and compliance logs, is stored locally in an offline database on your device.

B. Device Permissions & On-Device Processing

To provide full functionality, the App may request access to certain device features:

• Camera and Photo Library: Used to capture images of medication packaging for optical character recognition (OCR) and text recognition. This image processing is done locally on your device using on-device machine learning models; we do not upload your images or scanned text to external servers.
• Notifications: Used to send you alerts, alarms, and reminders when it is time to take your medication.
• Audio and Text-to-Speech: Used to play audio alerts or convert medication names and schedules to spoken audio for accessibility and confirmation.
• Storage/SQLite Database: Used to read and write your medication schedules, configuration settings, and dosage history directly on your device.

C. Information Sent Over the Network

We do not run external server analytics or track individual usage habits. If you explicitly choose to share files or export reports (e.g., using the sharing sheet or printing functions), the data is handled by your operating system's standard share handler and is sent only to the destinations you select.

2. SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

Because we store your data locally on your device, we do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal health information or medication lists with third parties.

3. SECURITY OF YOUR DATA

We use local storage mechanisms (such as SQLite) provided by the operating system to store your medication logs. While we take reasonable steps to secure the App, please be aware that the security of your data also depends on securing your physical device (e.g., using passcode/biometrics, avoiding rooted or jailbroken devices).

4. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our App does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
